Many different magazines use the same features on their front cover. These are known as conventions. Here are some conventions i have included on my school magazine cover.
Image 1: Masthead.
Many, if not all, magazines include mastheads. This is at the top of the cover and it should be the first thing you see. Which is why it is crucial for it to stand out and be bold.
Image 2: Issue Numbers.
Many magazines include issue numbers somewhere on there magazine if not on the front cover. It allows the audience to know how far along they are in the term.
Image 3: School Badge.
All school magazines include a logo or badge on their magazine cover. This allows them to be recognised not only by name but by their logo as well.
